6Mos Gets All NewAge

The BBC (by way of Slashdot) says that Jan. 24th will be the worst day of the year. Now I agree that it will be a bad day because it is The Night Of Two Knives. It is a homegrown holiday of mine that celebrates one of the worst experiences of my life. It is a day to consider that perhaps the people that you love the most might be the ones that hurt you the most. Try to celebrate alone with a bottle of wine whilst meditating on how you are a strong individual who can live without some pretty important people. Then meditate on forgiveness.

I have two more holidays The Night Of Ten Thousand Knives and Shitty Shitty Day Day. TNOTTK (March 23) pretty much celebrates how sometimes the whole world seems out to get you. Get way drunk and forget your troubles. Someone will take care of you. And that is a good thing to know.

Shitty Shitty Day Day is probably my favorite holiday, because it is a total anti-holiday. Everyone has a bad day on October 17th. Everyone. No one has yet realized this though, well until I came along. So make your own Shitty Shitty Day Day cards. I have a couple (all drawn on paper towels with crayon for some reason) that depict giant crows, spiders, electrical storms, getting arrested. You know, shitty stuff. I don't suggest having a party to celebrate since you will probably go to jail. Wait a week.

Don't you feel all fired up for the weekend now? I am going to lovely Albuquerque. If I stay Sunday night I am going to see Rogue Wave and The Album Leaf.
